Sing Loud and Proud
Katie Prokop Music Teacher and Musician Katie received her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Music Education (EC-12) from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2008. She has been singing since she was 5 years old and began playing the trumpet in the 4th grade. She has been a public school music teacher throughout the Nashville TN and Austin TX areas. She started out as a middle school band director and has taught elementary music for the past 10 years. She has performed with several Austin area bands within the past 6 years as a lead singer and trumpet player. Most recently with the Austin area all female band Ready Betty. Her favorite genres of music to perform are Classic Rock, Country and Retro. Katie’s favorite quote: “Sing loud and proud for all to hear.”
